October 24, 2011: Shoes on Wires
What's the meaning of shoes thrown on power lines? Someone once said it signified where drugs were sold. Others have said it represents where someone has died. Or is it simply a prank played out again and again in cities and neighborhoods from coast to coast?
A Frequent Occurrence: T-Bone Crash, 33rd and Old York
Members of the Waverly Improvement Association have recently asked the Baltimore City Department of Transportation to conduct a safety study of this intersection. Residents can attest to the all-too frequent crashes in this dangerous spot for cars and pedestrians (and bicyclists) alike.
